Blog #3- 4, Personal Statement

There are many current events in this world that affect me and other people. One event that has caught my eye is the Immigration Reform Law in which the law states that people that are undocumented are not allowed to have jobs and even not allowed to have an apartment or living complex rented. Even though I am documented, this bothers me because people that come to the United States to have a better life, are being denied in many ways. What if there's people that are undocumented, that are in a stable situation on their way to success? What will happen to them? That's just not fair in my eyes nor in many more people's eyes.

Many Americans claim that many illegal immigrant are taking their jobs away because they are willing to work for a cheaper wage. Although this can be true in some instances, Immigrants are struggling to have a successful life while people that are documented and get their jobs taken away, have more opportunities that those that are undocumented. I think that for all of this arguing to stop, both sides of the stories need to come to an agreement such as if undocumented people are up for working hard to better their lives and the community and not cause any stir ups such as gang violence, then it would be an easy solve. Its said that many illegal immigrants that cross the borders, are here to help with the guns and drug wars, therefore many Americans want to expel them. If only such violence could stop, everyone would live in a peaceful America in the lands of opportunity.
